Vivienne Neville - Music Tutor
The founder of VJ School of Music Vivienne Neville has a varied teaching career and personal music career with much experience. Vivienne is an established Piano teacher with 90% of students gaining merit and distinction level for all exams.
Vivienne has been a college tutor teaching music technology, and also a teacher in secondary and primary education teaching the Music Curriculum and also after school classes including Keyboard, guitar, choir, and individual singing lessons. In school, she formed a large children’s choir who took part in Durham Cathedral year 6 leavers school services and who also performed at many special events accompanied by The Band of The Kings Division Army Band.

Have you always wanted to learn the piano? Vivienne is very keen to encourage adults into all forms of musical education but particularly piano lessons. Take up piano if you’ve always had a passion to do so. Many adults think that children learn piano skills quicker than adults, that is just not true, it is the opposite, adults learn quicker than children.
Piano lessons are available for all ages. Vivienne has taught people of all ages and finds adults really enjoy their lessons playing music they love. Whether you progress slowly or quickly you will love your lessons and make progress week by week.

Vivienne will teach you music theory alongside your practical piano pieces. Also, you may be a guitarist or musician who can’t read music and have always wanted to have a foundation in music theory. So whether you are a beginner or an established musician you will enjoy learning all aspects of music theory.
Composing music
Composition and Song Writing
Vivienne is a published singer songwriter and has had much success. Her music is available on all major music platforms worldwide including iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. She is a singer songwriter and producer and has toured across the UK, USA and Ireland..
If song writing is an area you would like to work on or develop further Vivienne offers composition and one to one song writing lessons. One of your skills may be in writing poetry. Many poets collaborate with musicians to add music to their poetry. If this is an area you would like to develop, Vivienne would be happy to work alongside you to add a musical dimension to your poetry.
Piano Exams or Playing for Pleasure
Do you want to learn how to play the piano or keyboard and work towards exams or purely play the piano for pleasure? After an initial foundation course in piano skills, you will quickly progress to playing music that you love whether it be Pop, Classical, Jazz, Blues, Indie, Great Classics from the 20s to 2020 your choice.
If you work on the styles of music you love listening to, you will enjoy very much learning those types of piano pieces and you will progress at a good pace.
School Curriculum
There are also lessons available for children and young people who may need extra personal one to one teaching to help boast their school studies. Vivienne is a qualified teacher and can help in all aspects of music teaching.
